CHANGEOVER

CHANGEOVER NZ 1:53.4 (In The Pocket-Chaangerr-Vance Hanover) $2,321,677 was a brilliant racehorse who has franked his racetrack appearance with a stellar start to his siring career. CHANGEOVER stood his first Australian season at Burwood Stud in 2019.

CHANGEOVER is an ‘outcross’ sire by the dominant champion In The Pocket.

A young horse, CHANGEOVER started his siring career in New Zealand before being sold for big money to Australian interests, buoyed by the results ‘across the ditch.’

Already a sub-1:52 sire, CHANGEOVER has sired 113 individual winners, headed by 15 pacers inside the 1:53 mark,, with four members of the ‘Hundred Grand Club,’ including the potential Grand Circuit star, Western Australian-based, New Zealand-bred Run Oneover (1:50.8; $554,998).

CHANGEOVER has proven to be potent with both sexes – one of his fastest performers, Sudden Change (1:51.4) is a mare. Dizzy Miss Lizzy (2, 1:52), a dual 2017 two-year-old Group winner in her homeland, New Zealand, overcame a back row draw to win the 2017 $150,000 Group One Diamond Jewels for 2YO Fillies in 1:53.6 – just 0.3s outside the national record.

CHANGEOVER won 29 races from a 2YO through to an aged racehorse. As a three-year-old he won the New Zealand Derby (Group One), and joined other champions of that age when crowned NZ 3YO Pacer of the Year. At four, he won the Noel Taylor Mile (Group One), and as an aged horse he won the New Zealand Cup (Group One) and New South Wales Len Smith Mile (Group One).

In The Pocket TT1:49.6; $1.537million, the sire of CHANGEOVER, won 17 races from 39 starts, and is a champion sire and now sire of sires (Christian Cullen, Courage Under Fire etc). Chaangerr 1:58.7, the dam of CHANGEOVER, is a broodmare gem, being the dam of nine winners, including five in 2:00 and three in 1:54, with progeny including Change Gear 1:53.3; $137,784 and Change Stride 1:53.1; $182,553. Chaangerr’s sire, Vance Hanover, skites a remarkable record as a ‘King of Queens.’
