Collate

COLLATE was a talented Sydney based sprinter who recorded six wins from fifteen starts and earned $304,650 in prizemoney. Unbeaten in one 2YO start at Rosehill over 1100 metres, he went on to win two Group 3 races in his 3YO year, namely the Cameron Handicap at Newcastle and the Frederick Clissold Handicap at Randwick. Distance wise, he won from 1100 metres and 1400 metres during his career.

COLLATE is a grandson of champion stallion Danehill, via his deceased sire Catbird. As a sire, Catbird produced Group 1 winner Cats Fun (WATC Derby), as well as Group 2 winner Diego Garcia (Todman Slipper Trial) and Group 3 winners Catechuchu and Cateclipse. Catbird's best racetrack performance was his victory in the 1999 Golden Slipper.

COLLATE is out of Calfree, a Rosehill winner at 3YO. Calfree is by 1990 Golden Slipper winner Canny Lad. COLLATE's grandam, Enchilada, is a daughter of champion American stallion Alydar. Enchilada is a three-quarter sister to deceased stallion Clear Choice, who was the sire of talented gallopers the calibre of Voting (Sandown Guineas), Waikikamukau (Caulfield Autumn Classic, Canterbury Cup, Cranbourne Cup), Point Danger (The Chivas Regal at Caulfield) and Clearly Chosen (Hobartville Stakes), etc.

COLLATE commenced stud duties in the 2007-2008 season at a service fee of $2,200 inclusive of GST.
